How to replace your Blogger template with a personalized one

Before Blogger updated their platform in 2012, it simple for bloggers like me to replace their templates. You only need to download your preferred template from a free template site and upload it to Blogger's template uploader and instantly your blog looks like what you want. Today, the upload option is gone. So, how to replace your template now?

You can follow the steps below:

1. Go to Btemplates.com or any site that you could download a template for free. I like Btemplates.com because they lots of templates to choose from and some are adapted from Wordpress which are really good-looking and professional. The site also offers easy to download zip files of the template that you like. Just choose a template. Preview it if you want. Download it and then press SAVE to keep it on your computer.

2. Use WinRar or any extracting tool to extract the zip file in your computer. The zip file usually contains two folders, the template and one labeled for Mac OS X. I am not really using Mac, so I choose the one with the template XML document.

3. Don't open the XML document. Right click on it, then open with Notepad. Be sure to activate Word Wrap in Format. You can now see codes that looks like the codes in the HTML of your template.

4. Log-in your Blogger account. Go to the blog that you want to replace template. Go to Template menu, then HTML. Check the
